  • welcome

bend of bay features a changing selection of prose, poetry, images and other projects. It takes its name from the opening line of Finnegans Wake by James Joyce:

riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay, brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

    disclaimer

“How far my efforts agree with those of other philosophers I will not decide. Indeed what I have here written makes no claim to novelty in points of detail; and therefore I give no sources, because it is indifferent to me whether what I have thought has already been thought before me by another.”

    - Ludwig Wittgenstein

This archive consists of one, very large page - printed, it would fill 4,170 sheets - and so it will take some time to fully load. You may want to save it to your local drive for future reference. You can perform a rudimentary search using the "find" or "search" feature in your browser. You can also find searchable archives dating from December 2002 at http://list.mail.virginia.edu/pipermail/silence/.

If you you have messages arranged in chronological order from September 20, 1999 and ending December 30, 2002, I can add them to the archive. I can be reached by posting to the Silence list or send a note to info@bendofbay.org
